The 38X74X11CRWA1R is a radial shaft seal from SKF, a trusted manufacturer and industry leader. CRWA1 types are low-friction seals with a metal outside diameter, a nitrile rubber SKF WAVE sealing lip design, a carbon steel garter spring, and a non-contacting auxiliary lip. The metal outside ensures easy installation while maintaining a firm, accurate bore fit. SKF WAVE lips are designed to reduce friction and heat generation while pumping lubrication back into the bearing and expelling contaminants. SKF WAVE Lip Design

SKF WAVE seals signify a hugely important development in the design of radial shaft seals. They are made using a special mould form which gives the seals hydrodynamic properties. WAVE seals are able to reduce friction between the shaft and lip (up to 20% reduction compared to standard lips) and therefore reduce heat generation at the point of contact. This design also generates a higher pumping rate, pumping lubrication back into the bearing and expelling contaminants.

Protection Against Contamination

With a carbon steel garter spring providing improved sealing against the shaft and an additional auxiliary dust lip facing outwards, the 38X74X11CRWA1R is ideally constructed to exclude contaminants from entering while retaining grease or oil inside the assembly.
